CIRA means we designed programs and curriculum that center the cultural experiences, identities, and contexts of the organizations and neighborhoods we serve. We honor CIRA through celebrations, ancestral wisdom, and practices that embrace healing and love.

We develop strategies to disseminate narratives that heal, build community power, and lead to transformation. We honor a history of storytelling, using counterstorytelling to create the futures and worlds we envision, where young people can thrive.

We use frameworks that value the principle of "we see you" and support young scholars, leaders, and nonprofits in creating systems that center healing and people power.

We use frameworks and tools that are participatory and liberatory in nature, which improve an organization's capacity to conduct research in a way that suits its needs.
